In 2003, the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation founded the President’s Volunteer Service Award to recognize the important role of volunteers in America’s strength and national identity. This award honors individuals whose service positively impacts communities in every corner of the nation.
Unpaid acts of volunteer service benefitting others
Hours required to receive one of the four awards offered by the PVSA program. Your service hours may be with multiple organizations, but only one certifying organization may recognize you for an award. We ask that a minimum of 10 hours be completed with us.
We will track your hours for you and at the end of our award year in May we will reach out to you if you are eligible for an award. Please note, if you volunteered at one of our events, you do not have to submit hours for the event.
